The arrest of the police is more than 80 suspected criminals in Delta

Police operations in Delta have arrested more than 80 alleged criminals over various crimes in the state last month.

Commissioner of the State Police, Abaniwonda Olumi, revealed this to reporters at the State Police Command Headquarters in Asaba on Wednesday.

He stated that the ongoing campaign to get rid of the state of the criminal was mostly successful.

CP says: “Deltans can prove the fact that in recent times, the state has become very hot for criminals.

“The command under my watch will not succumb in this mandate and will continue to pursue criminal -thinking people to ensure they are arrested and taken to court.

“There are several armed robbery operations throughout Asaba, Ughelli, Ogwashi-Uuk, and other communities, which caused the arrest of suspects and weapons recovery, including pumping rifles, bereta pistols, and double-range weapons.

“Stolen goods such as motorbikes, vehicles, laptops, telephones, and household electronics are also found. We recover 31 firearms, 86 rounds of ammunition and cartridges, as well as dozens of stolen vehicles, laptops and cellphones in August 2025.” “
