The arrest of the police suspected of Ipob members rescued 100 in IMO

Police operations in the state of IMO have arrested the alleged members of the Biafra indigenous people (IPOB) and armed wings, the East Security Network (ESN) in the state.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Henry Okoye, who confirmed the news in a statement on Saturday in Oowerri, said the operators also rescued more than 100 people in the operation led by
Aboki Danjuma, a police commissioner.

He said: “In the last six months, operators from the Anti-Child Unit, along with other special divisions, have captured a total of 2,785 suspects involved in serious violations such as kidnapping, terrorism, murder, armed robbery, cult, and child trafficking.

“This broad operation also resulted in the success of saving 58 kidnapped victims and 42 stolen children, many of them have since been reunited with their happy families.

“Investigations of these cases have produced large cache weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

“Revealed goods include two general destination machine rifles (GPMG), 14 AK-47 rifles, 20 pumping weapons, four rocket launchers made, seven gas-cylinder explosives, hand grenades made locally, various kinds of living ammunition, Biafran flag, and various criminal changes.

“The capture of high profiles is Amechi Onyebuchi (38), Ozioma Ihedoro (39), Cyprian Ikpegbunam (50), and Uchenna Opara (30), identified as famous members of the prohibited IPOB/ESN.

“These people are reportedly responsible for various attacks on the formation of security and public infrastructure within the Njaba regional government.

“Acting based on credible intelligence, joint operations by anti-children and other tactical teams raided IPOB/ESN camps in Njaba, which led to their arrests and recovery of weapons and high-quality explosives.

“The suspects acknowledged the abduction and murder of an Emmanuel Oguzie, who was allegedly carried out on the orders of the desired ESN Commander known as” Asar. “
