The Assembly of the People of Oduwa urges the Nigerians to refuse the coalition led by Atiku

The Popular Assembly of ODUWA (OPA) has strongly criticized the newly formed alliance of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by the former vice -president Atiku Abubakar, describing it as a coalition of opportunists that does not have the vision, cohesion and integrity to offer significant leadership to the Nigerians.

Opa said that ADC lacks the organizational force and ideological clarity necessary to mount a credible challenge in the general elections of 2027.

In a declaration signed by its president, Rehard Oldunji Kayode, the group expressed serious concern for what he called the selfish ambitions of the political figures in the coalition, warning that the alliance represents more a threat to national progress than a credible alternative to the Congress of All Progressives (APC).

“The Popular Assembly of Oduwa invites all the Nigerians to refuse the ADC coalition led by Atiku which is characterized by opportunism, disunity and lack of sincere commitment for the progress of the nation.”

He said that the alliance is already showing signs of disunion, with members focused on individual ambitions rather than on a common purpose.

The declaration added: “In light of the recent training of the alliance of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by ATIKU Abubakar self -sufficiency and a group of opportunistic leaders, the popular assembly of Oduwa (opa) feels obliged to articulate our serious concerns regarding the implications of this coalition for the future of our nation.

“First of all, ADC Alliance does not have the strength in mounting a credible challenge for the ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGSS (APC) sentence in the next 2027 elections. This alliance is a loose coalition of disparate political interests, with each member focused mainly on personal ambitions rather than a shared vision for the country.

“This fragmentation raises deep doubts about the ADC’s ability to effectively challenge the well -organized and disciplined machinery of the APC. The opa believes that without a clear and unified agenda, the ADC is sentenced to fail.

“Opa firmly believes that the lack of cohesion and clear objectives within the ADC are evident in the actions of its members. Instead of collaborating towards a common agenda, every politician is pursuing his own regardless ambitions for the greatest good. This absence of unity and direction will inevitably lead to the fall of the alliance, significantly weakening his own success possibilities against APC.”

Urges citizens to request responsibility and integrity from their leaders and to support a political landscape that gives priority to the collective good compared to individual ambitions.

The Opa then raised concern about the inclusion of people like David Mark, Nasir El Rufai, Dele Momod and Atiku Ibrahim, saying that those figures are self -racing individuals.
