“The bond we share, anchored to loyalty and service, I will never take it for granted – Shettimo in Tinubu

Vice -president Kashim Shettimo promised that his link with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, built on loyalty and service, will not be taken for granted.

Responding to the message of President Bola Tinubu to mark his 59th birthday, the vice -president described the message of goodwill of the president as deeply touching, stressing that his feelings were mutual.

“The bond we share, anchored to loyalty and service, is one that I will never take it for granted. I have seen you play the burden of difficult choices in critical moments, guiding our nation through turbulent waters in a port of stability that promises abundance,” said Shettimo.

The vice -president praised the president’s visionary leadership and focused on people.

He said that serving alongside President Tinubu on the basis of the renewed program of hope was an honor and a lesson throughout his life in courage and statistics.

Shettimo has also extended his appreciation to the First Lady, Senator Oltemi Tinubu, for his goodwill, as well as governors, legislators, cabinet members, traditional sovereigns, religious leaders, community characters and citizens throughout the country who have sent prayers and kind words.

The vice -president described gestures as a reminder of the sacred responsibility that is provided with the public service.

Reflecting on messages of goodwill, he said: “While meditating on these tokens of goodwill, I am renewed of a purpose and fortified in the spirit. I am convinced, as well as Mr. President, that the greatest days of Nigeria are in front of us.

“With unity of will, clarity of vision and loyalty for our shared aspirations, we will exceed our tests and we will inherit a nation in arrival generations that is safe, prosperous and right.” [TR]
