The budget of the victims from the attack of the bandits on worshipers in a mosque in the area of ​​the local government of Malumfashi in the state of Katsina went up to 32 years, said the state government yesterday.

This was contained in a declaration of the management of the government’s media following a visit to a delegation led by the secretary to the state government, Abdullahi Faskari, to the Mantau Ungwar community.

The delegation was received in the city of Karfi by the head of the village and the relatives of the deceased.

“During the condolence visit, it was confirmed that 32 people were killed while observing the prayers. The number of those kidnapped has still been verified, since a rapid air interdiction by the Nigerian Air Force interrupted the bandits while moving with the prisoners.

“In the consequent confusion, some victims scattered in different directions, while others have been saved and are now receiving care in hospitals”, the declaration reads partially.

According to the declaration, the governor of the State of Katsina, Dikko Radda, who is currently on medical leave, immediately consulted with the interim governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, on the urgent need to send a high -power government delegation to commensurate with the families of mourning and the interested community, in a quick response to the tragic attack.
Faskari described the attack as a “deeply painful and heartbreaking tragedy”.

He assured the community that the government would not give in to his efforts to strengthen security and restore lasting peace.

“Our hearts are with families who have lost their loved ones in this senseless attack. This administration remains committed to working with all the safety agencies to ensure that justice is served and to prevent such tragedies in the future,” he said.

The delegation also ensured the community that immediate support had been extended to the families of the victims, while a global assessment of damage and needs is currently underway.

The delegation included the Commissioner for internal security and internal affairs, Nasir Mu’azu; The Senior Community Watch Senior Assistant, the Senior Special Assistant in Banditi and IDP victims, the member who represents Malumfashi at the Katsina State House of Assembly; The president of the local government of Malumfashi.

Others were heads of security agencies in the state, including the police commissioner, the commander of the Nigerian army brigade 17, the director of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian security commander and the Civil Defense Corps
