Lyrics:
Dear Mama, now that we’re older
We can see the load on your tired old shoulders
Mama you’re a trooper, mama you’re a soldier
Mama, you mean a lot to me

cant watch- too hard too sad on me…
Anita and Helen looked gorgeous that night.
So beautiful , so powerful , so special . The sad thing about this video is the fact it's only got 45k views/500 likes and 19 comments
I recently read Johnny's autobiography (Cash: The Autobiography, with Patrick Carr, HarperCollins, 1997; ISBN 978-0-06-101357-7[179]) and he spoke very highly of Mother Maybelle and the Carter family. He said that Mother Maybelle was often cooking for the whole family, and she didn't mind it as long as she knew how many people she was cooking for. The book was very good and I read it in a few days, would definitely recommend to other Johnny Cash fans.

“A SONG TO MAMA”

Dear, dear Mama, now that we're older
We can see the load on your tired old shoulders
Mama you're a trooper, mama you're a soldier
Mama, you mean a lot to me
She always got me out of bed early Sunday morn'
And took me out to church where I could learn about the Lord
Mama tried to tell me how my life was gonna be
But I was young and wild, and it was hard for me to see
Dear Mama, now that we're older
We can see the load on your tired old shoulders
Mama you're a trooper, mama you're a soldier
Mama, you mean a lot to me
Mama, you always taught me right from wrong when I was growin' up
And it's a pity that most people like me
Have to try everything for themselves
I realize now that you always knew just what you were talkin' about
And mama for all that hard work you did
And for the sacrifices you made for us
Dear Mama, now that we'reolder
We can see the load on your tired old shoulders
Mama you're a trooper, Mama you're a soldier
Mama, you mean a lot to me.

She's not Johnny Cash's mom, she's his mother-in-law. 🤨👀👍🏻😁✌🏻

Krásná píseň , děkuji vám , ze jste byli….
Wow!
Des frissons et des larmes. Les chansons pour les mamans sont toujours émouvantes et disent vrai.
Chantées par nos fils, elles chamboulent nos cœurs. Les filles sont très touchantes aussi. 💜💙💚
