The container crushes the police officer, 1 other in Lagos

A full -loaded container truck (XP 368 AKD) overturned on a tricycle (Kja 364 qn) Tuesday along Ijora Causeway, killing a police officer in service and a female passenger.

According to the general manager of Lastma Olalekan Bakare-Oki, the truck lost control while attempting a risky maneuver under the Ijora bridge, crushing the tricycle.

Two other people, including the Tricycle operator, were saved with serious legs of the legs and brought to Jimsan hospital, Ijora, from the Lagos state ambulance service (Lasambus).

The security staff of Badia, Trinity and Kirikiri has established Cordoni to prevent spectators from interfering and making sure that emergency rescuers could carry out rescue operations safely.

Bakare-Oki expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and urged the truck operators to exercise extreme caution, in particular close to bridges, crosses and busy roads, to prevent similar accidents.
