Ondo State Governorship gave rise to a court sitting in Akure on Wednesday upholding Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s victory in last year’s election in the state.
Five political parties, including the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and their candidates, challenged the declaration of the Aiyewatiwa Independent National Election Commission (Inec) as the winner of the Governor Election in the state 16 November.
All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates surveyed 366,781 votes to defeat PDP candidate Ajayi Agboola, who scored 117,845 votes in the election.

Other parties fighting for the results of the election are the Action Alliance (AA), Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and the Allied Movement (APM).
Panels of three members led by Judge Benson Ogubu rejected the petition because of the lack of achievements.
The court argues that accusations of massive deviations and non-compliance with the Election Law appointed by the Petitioners cannot be proven.
The panel also rejected the petition over the alleged differences in the voting entry in the EC8A form.
