A magistrate court in the Nomensland area in Kano ordered the postponement of the popular Tiktoker, Urar Hisham Fagge, widely known as Tsulange, for accusations of public indecency.
The magistrate chaired Hadiza Muhammad Hassan established on Friday that Tsulange is held in custody in a correction structure until 3 July 2025, pending the conclusion of the investigations.
The personality of the social media was arrested by the Council of Censorship of the State of Kano after having recorded and sharing a comic scene that showed him swimming on a public road while dressed in female intimate clothing.
According to the spokesman for the board of directors, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, the act was not only offensive for public decency, but also violated the cultural and Islamic values observed in the state.
The Council condemned the video as part of a growing wave of inappropriate behavior among the creators of online content in Kano.
The Council also warned that it will continue to repress what has described as “disruptive entertainment masked by humor”, promising to take legal actions against such acts of poor moral conduct on social media.
