Judge Lewis Allaggoa from the Federal High Court, Lagos, on Thursday was postponed until June 19, a motion hearing in the N32 billion fraud case involving lawyers Victor Ukutt and Whoba Ogo.
The judge postponed the case to enable legal counsel, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), to submit additional authority in motion.
The federal government charged both of the accusations of eight conspiracy counts, conversion, getting with false reasons, falsification, fraud, and money laundering.
The defendants were accused of conspiring between 2011 and 2023 to cheat around the N32 billion from the Woobs Resources Limited account.
The government claims that the funds are obtained illegally through theft and fraud, which violates part of the Money Laundering Law (Prohibition), 2011 (as amended).

The court has not taken the defendant.
In the Thursday process, the judge argued that given a large number of legal authorities and arguments surrounding the problem of taking defense, it would be more appropriate for the first time hearing the prosecution motion.
Falana, however, objected to the court’s decision and argued that the same thing was not the business that day.
He urged the court for the first time hearing the initial objection of the defender, challenging the court jurisdiction.
He argues that the court is “Dominus Litis” – the ruler of the process – and must emphasize control over how this case was carried out.
