The “Damagum party spokesperson” denies “on the comments on the Inc, a NEC PDP meeting proposal

The national president of the recitation of the Democratic Party of people (PDP), Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum, on Monday, described the recent statements made by his secretary of national advertising, the Hon. Debo Ologunagba, concerning the Independent National Electoral Commission (INC) as immature and unauthorized.

According to Damagum, what the party spokesman said did not reflect the official position of the party.

His rebbutel was arriving against the background of an interactive media session held on Sunday by Ologunagba in Abuja.

The interim president in a declaration clarified that the observations of Ologunagba were without knowledge or approval of the National Working Committee (NWC) or in consultation with the leadership of the PDP.

He said: “It is shocking and unfortunate that such a sensitive question has been publicly addressed without appeal to the established internal processes or to the party leadership”,

While underlining further, he said that the opinions expressed by Ologunagba were “entirely his personal opinions and do not represent the official position of the PDP”.

He also expressed concern about what he described as the recurring model of Ologunagba to act unilaterally, often ignoring the party’s collective decision -making paintings.

“While the party remains committed to defending its internal autonomy and resisting undue interference from external forces, he must do it responsible and unified way,” he added.

Damagum in the declaration insisted that all the main decisions would have been achieved through “collective consent and correct coordination, not through the objective of personal posture”.

“We appreciate the support and supervision of all the party’s faithful and ensure the public that the leadership of the PDP is fully committed to resolving the question responsible and transparently,” he added.

He therefore ensured to its members and the general public that the penny meeting of the national executive committee of the party (NEC) would have gone on as expected, in accordance with his constitution and democratic principles.
