The death toll from the cholera outbreak in Lagos reached 24 people

The death toll from the cholera outbreak in Lagos State has risen to 24 people.

In a post on the X platform on Friday, the government said 35 cases had been confirmed out of 417 suspected cases in the state.

The state Health Commissioner, Prof. Akin Abayomi, last week confirmed the death of 15 people due to a cholera outbreak across the city.

Six more deaths were confirmed on Thursday as the government announced measures to control the rise in cases.
