The equity market starts on Sunday green because investors get the N704BN

The Nigerian equity market began week in the Bullish momentum on Monday, September 15, 2025, when investors received N704 billion after five hours of trading on the Nigerian Xchange Group (NGX) floor.

This follows the surge in stock prices from LivingTrust Mortgage Bank, Nigeria and Regal Insurance, among others, on the trading floor.

The Benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) jumped to 141,659 points from 140,545.69 points recorded on the previous trading day.

After five hours of trading in the capital market, equity capitalization increased to N89,626 trillion from N88,922 trillion, which was recorded by the Exchange on Friday, September 12, 2025.

The extent of the positive market with 32 advanced shares, 31 shares declined, and 84 remaining shares did not change in 31,578 agreements.

LivingTrust Mortgage Bank, Nigeria e-Tranzact and Regal Insurance led other strengthening with growth of 9.96%, 9.70% and 9.64% each in the stock price closed at N5.08, N16.40, and N1.82 from the previous N4.62, N14.95 and N1.66 per share.

Mcnichols PLC, Honeywell Flour PLC, and UAC Nigeria lead other prices with a decrease in stock prices of 9.90%, 9.13% and 8.01% each, closed on N3.55, N20.90, and N67.15 per share, down from the previous N4.94, N23.00, and N77.15 per share.

In the volume index, UAC Nigeria led trade with 67 million shares in 163 agreements, followed by Regal Insurance PLC, which was traded 57 million shares in 678 agreements.

Holding Access Holding PLC is traded 36 million shares in 1, 485 offers.

In the value index, the PLC Power Holding Bruck emerged as the top stock traded, collecting N10.2 billion in 172 agreements, followed by UAC Nigeria, who traded the equity of N4.4 billion in 163 agreements.

Zenith Bank traded shares worth N1.0 billion in 1, 482 agreement.
