The Lagos State Police Command has charged Wasiuu Akinwande, a man described as one of the most famous killers in the state, with various accusations ranging from murder and possession of firearms that violate the law to attempted murder and crime.
The suspect, known as ‘Olori Eso’, currently faces 11 criminal charges in the Ogba judge court in Lagos.
According to a commander of the commando, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the 44 -year -old suspect was arrested after the planned operation with the Password ‘Silence, Speed and Surprise’, carried out by the Tactical Tactical Forces. Akinwande, who has long avoided arrest, was finally traced in hiding places in the Agbado area in the state of Ogun.
“Wasiuu Akinwande alias Olori Eso is currently being charged at the Mag registration Court Ogba on allegations of eleven counts,” Hundeyin said in a press release issued on Tuesday.
Akinwande has been in the police radar for many years for alleged involvement in murder and violence related to gangs in the mushin and neighboring communities in Lagos. SP Hundeyin said the suspect was famous for terrorizing residents and previously avoided arrests on several occasions.

Among the accusations made against Akinwande was the murder of Bankole Yusuf and Ramadan Yusuf, who was killed on July 31, 2024, at the Mushin. He was also charged with the death of Aminat Lateef who was 10 years old, who was reportedly shot dead while carrying out his duties in the Fadeyi area on December 9, 2010.
One of the counts in the charge sheet reads: “That you, Wasiuu Akinwande, aka Olori Esho ‘M’ and Others Now at Large, on or before the 31st day of July 2024, at idi-aaba area of lagos … Did Knowly, Unknown Persons … by shooting them directly during a clash between your faction (Known as a community that violates the AK-47 that you have … and thus committed violations that can be punished based on the 223 section of Lagos State’s law, 2015. “
Other calculations specify its ownership of dangerous firearms:

This case has turned on concerns about the threat of continuous gang violence and the need for policing led by sustainable intelligence in high crime areas in Lagos.
