The farmer saves the buried newborn live in Kebbi

A farmer, Kabiru Kamba, was greeted for saving a newborn baby who is buried alive in his agricultural land in Kamba, in the area of ​​the local government of Dandi in the state of Kebbi.

Telling the shocking discovery on Monday during a visit to the Technical Working Group of Kebbi’s state’s gender violence, Kamba said that the accident occurred last Friday when he noticed a strange tumule of land while working on his farm.

“Out of curiosity, I stopped passing the motorcyclists to help dig,” he said. “We found a wrapping buried under the ground, which made me suspicious. I quickly warned the police to a nearby checkpoint. They dug further and found a little girl, miraculously alive and crying, wrapped in fabric.”

Kamba said he immediately brought the small house and offered to take care of her while the police investigate.

“It was purely an act of humanity. I didn’t do it for any reward,” he said. “Fortunately, my wife had just given birth, so nourishing the child was not a problem.”

He revealed that preparations were underway for a denomination ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, adding that he had already purchased a RAM and other necessary articles.

Kamba’s wife expressed her joy and willingness to grow the saved child. “I felt happy when my husband brought the child. I will take care of her like mine,” he said.

During the visit, the team led by the former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Rafa’Atu Hammani, praised the peasant compassion and promised to inform the state lady of the state, Hajiya Zainab-Nate Idris, for further support.

The secretary of the technical working group, Alhaji Nasiru Idris, applauded the police for launching an investigation and expressed gratitude for the survival of the child. The delegation also presented essential objects for the child, including clothes, diapers, soap, a mattress, powdered milk, a mosquito net and a children’s bed.
