Mrs. Adebimpe Akinintola, head of the Council of the developing area of the local Coker Aguda Coker Council (LCDA).
Akinintola, who also doubled as president of the forum of the managers of the Council of Lagos, died on Monday in a short illness.
His death, which confirmed in a declaration issued on Tuesday by the Council Managers Forum, aroused fears in the political and administrative circles of Lagos.
According to the declaration, he was placed at rest Tuesday in line with the Islamic rites.
The prayers of Janzah were observed at the Al Kitab mosque, Abosede Onamade Street, Eshin, after Zuhr’s prayer, before his burial to the fair Muslim Cda, Igbe Lara.
The managers of the Council act as administrative leaders of the 20 local governments of Lagos and 37 LCDA, supervising the daily management of the councils as accounting officials.
In his reaction, the spokesman for the APC of Lagos, Seye Oladejo, described his disappearance as “another sad accident” for the state.

He extended the condolences to his immediate family, to the people of Aguda Lcda Coker and the entire local government system in Lagos.
His death is added to a worrying series of tragedies among the local government officials of Lagos. On August 13, Oluwakemi Rufai, councilor of Ward C of Ibeju Lekki, died less than two weeks after his inauguration. Five days later, on August 18, also Zainab Shotayo, councilor of Ward C in the Hadowowo-OJuwood Lcda, died.
On September 20, Princess Oloremi Ajose, vice -president of Badagry West Lcda, died and just 24 hours later, also passed Basrat Oluwakemi Mayabikan, councilor of Ward F in the local government of Somolu.
The disappearance of Akinintola now makes it the fifth death of officials of the local women’s government in Lagos in just two months, triggering pain and discomfort through the basic political circles of the state.
