The former Super Eagles coach reveals the Osimhen’s penalty law after the fight on the training floor with Emmanuel Dennis

The former assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Acacio Santos, has revealed how the best striker Victor Osimhen surprised them in a game a day after having a fight in the training field with his teammate Emmanuel Dennis, reports Owngoalnigeria.com.

Santos worked with Osimhen as a José Pesiro assistant with the Super Eagles and in an interview with Sky Sports he focused greatly on the future of the 26 years, which is a theme of trend after his decision to reject a mega offer of money on the side of Saudi Arabia al-Hilal.

It is still expected to leave Napoli before the end of this summer transfer window, Osimhen, who spent last season to Galatasary, where he shot them to the League and was told twice the Cup that does not remain in the club, rather pointing to a transfer to the English Premier League.

“Respect for Galatasaray, of course,” Santos tells Sky Sports. “But Victor deserves to be in the Premier League, where the light would shine,” Santos said.

He advanced to explain the competitive nature of the striker, who said that it is complex to handle due to his insatiable desire to always want to win at all times, even during the training of something that caused a fight with Dennis before the Super Eagles game against Sao Tome and Principe in the AFCon qualifiers.

“One day before the game, Vitor had a little fight with Emmanuel Dennis in an exercise of seven against seven. This player was relaxing a little, a little cold. This was normal because there was a game the next day. But Victor wanted more. He was very demanding,” said the coach.

“We were a little surprised by his attitude. It was good. We liked it. But we thought it should calm down, maybe. The next day, he scored four goals.” They arrived in what was a 10-0 record victory over Sao Tome and Principe in the summer of 2023.

“After scoring his four goals, we suddenly had a penalty. Everyone expected Victor to take the ball for the fifth. Poker. But no, Victor gave the ball to Dennis, the teammate with whom he had fought the day before he had never scored for the national team.

“This is an example that tells you a lot about Victor Osimhen. Instead of having five goals, he preferred to give his teammate his first goal. Others like to speak in the locker room. Victor is a leader through his behavior, through his work, through his example.”
