
Renowned basketball administrator and sports entrepreneur, Ugo Udezue, has assured Nigerian basketball fans, investors, stakeholders and enthusiasts that the future of the game in Nigeria is very bright.

Speaking to NBBF Media, on the backdrop of the recent exploits of the various ranks of the country’s national teams at continental and global levels, the former NBA player manager, was elated by the talent of Nigeria’s basketball youths in putting the country firmly on the global map.
Ugo Udezue, Chairman of the NBBF Youth Development Committee, reiterates the NBBF’s plans to enhance its youth development programmes.
“Abidjan was a good opportunity to evaluate the team and ourselves. We will go back to the operations room to develop a direction and plan to win in South Africa. We have the talent and personnel to compete at a world level.”
Unassuming and committed to growing football in Nigeria, Udezue confidently assured Nigerians that “we have set the bar very high. The future is very bright.”
“We need to focus more on the local context. We have created an enabling environment for private enterprise to flourish. This will have an impact at the grassroots level,” he said.
