Groups that include senior politicians, leading and young women of the Benue North-East Senatorial District have invited a philanthropist based in Abuja, Engr. Jerome Imoter Ugboho to contest 2027 Senatorial election, to save the failure of the leadership, inherent.
Under the body umbrella known as Benue’s progressive movement of the north-east, the groups that were in Abuja on the weekend, presented an invitation letter to Ugboho, inviting to come and fill the leadership gap.
Led by the elderly Samuel Gidam, the movement has declared that he was fascinated by the story of Ugboho on humanitarian services, leadership quality, results and love for his people.
“We believe that your impressive results of results, your leadership qualities and your passion for our people make you the ideal candidate to represent us in the Senate. We are confident that you will be a strong voice of the district that will work tirelessly to face our needs and concerns.
“While we look to the future, we are aware of the challenges that await us, but we are also confident, because we know that together we can get greater heights. We have a vision for a brighter future; a future in which our people have access to quality education, health care and economic opportunities.
“We invite you to join us on this trip; to be our champion and help us realize our vision. We assure you of our support, our prayers and our commitment to work together to make our district big again,” he underlined.
He complained about the serious state of insecurity in the senatorial area and the clear abandonment by the current representatives of the National Assembly from the area. “Our current senator is attentive to the class. He does not choose calls in this current situation of insecurity. We need an agile and energetic person who represents us,” he complained.
Replying, Ugboho thanked the group to trust him. He observed that he is taken abruptly, the level at which the development has alluded to his people, adding that he is aware of the pains that people in the area A are crossing from insecurity to the acute lack of social services and the lack of empowerment for young people, women and the elderly.
He said he is willing to commit himself to designing that they will relieve people’s pains. Citing a quick response of Senator Ndume to the attack of Gwoza, the philanthropist said that the moment has come, the political leaders use of the people. He revealed that, on his front burner, it is the question of housing that constitutes the main challenge.
