The man beats his daughter’s boyfriend to death in Ekiti

The agents of the Ekiti State Police Command arrested a middle -aged man, simply identified as Ibrahim, for the alleged murder of his daughter’s boyfriend.

Reports reported that Ibrahim, who was subsequently accused by the police, was postponed by the Court of State Magistrates of Ekiti on Wednesday 3 September 2025.

Ibrahim was accused of having attacked the young man to death after discovering his relationship with his daughter.

It was said that the accident occurred when the deceased visited the girl in his father’s residence near the famous Corpers Loggia on New Iyin Road in Ado-Ceati, the capital of the state.

It was said that the father, who was not happy with their courtship, had mobilized his brothers to beat the young man.

According to reports, the young man died of excessive bleeding following the lesion suffered by the attack.

Confirming the accident, the official of the public relations of the Ekiti State Police, Domenica Abutu, said: “The girl’s father and two other suspicions were accused and postponed to prison”.
