Nigerian troops under the Hadin Kai (OPHK) operation have expelled coordinated terrorist attacks in Borno, giving heavy blows for rebels who tried to control military positions in Buratai and Mallam Fatori.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Captain Reuben Kovangiya, Acting Deputy Director of the Army Public Relations for OPHK, confirmed that the attack attempt, which occurred on June 5, 2025, was rejected by joint troops and joint air.
“In other coordinated efforts by land forces and the Hadin Kai Operation Air (OPHK) component, a number of terrorists have been neutralized, with a variety of weapons and ammunition found, in foil attacks on troops in Buratai, regional government regions and Fatori Mallam, Local Government areas in Borno states,” The Read.
According to Kovangiya, the attack on Buratai was launched in the early morning, with terrorists trying to deceive infiltrating military bases from various directions.

“The coordinated efforts of land forces and air components showed military commitment to deny the freedom of terrorist acting,” Kovangiya stressed.
