The naira closed flat against the dollar on the black market

Nigeria’s currency, the naira, closed flat against the American dollar on the black market on Friday.

The local currency traded at N1,410/$1, the same amount in the last three consecutive days.

However, the naira lost N5 against the British Pound, trading at N1,910/£1, compared with N1,905/£1 the previous day.

The currency also closed flat against the Canadian dollar and traded at N1,000/CA$1.

The Naira lost N5 against the Euro, trading at ₦1,615/€1, compared to previous day’s ₦1,610/€1.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has not released the official exchange rate at the time of writing this report.
