The name speaks on the selection of the next VC

The attention of the Government Council of the National Open University of Nigeria (noun) was attracted by an object of news that goes around the social media on the research under the next vice-changing of the University.

A declaration signed by the media director and advertising of Noun, Mallam Ibrahim Sheme, said that the news element focused on a potential candidate for the office of VC whose name was not listed in a list of congregations, claiming that said candidate could not be a candidate for the place.

“The University categorically states that the names of the members in the so -called list of the Congregation are not definitive and in any way represent the list of qualified members to be deputy chancellor. In fact, the said name has been included in the list of congregations.

“The deadline for the application for the post of Noun VC as advertised in three national newspapers has not been reached. The search for the next VC is not precluded; it is an ongoing work that continues until the publicized expiry reaches,” observed the note.

The declaration states that the Council ensures the university community of the fair selection process that would be acceptable for everyone.

“We recommend the public in general to ignore this publication which clearly aims to disinform and feed the braces of the disputes on the selection process for the next VC,” he concluded.
