The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Justin Madugu as interim head coach of the senior women’s football team, Super Falcons.
The football house said the coach will remain in charge of the women’s team pending the appointment of a substantive head coach for the team.
The NFF took this decision based on recommendations from its Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
Ripples Nigeria reported earlier this month that Nigeria’s former women’s coach, Randy Waldrum, had resigned from his post.

The Jamaican manager cited his wife’s health problems as the reason for his resignation.
Waldrum noted that stopping now is a good time because there will be enough time to get a replacement before the team’s next meeting.
Madugu is one of Waldrum’s assistants, and he will work closely with the rest of the technical crew.
The Super Falcons’ next big competition is the African Women’s Cup (AFCON) which will take place in Morocco next summer.
