The Nigerian government to pursue further action against Simon Ekpa after the Finnish court sentence

The federal government has vowed to take additional steps to the Separatist Agitator and Prime Minister of Biafra who proclaimed himself, Simon Ekpa, followed his belief in the charges related to terrorism by the Finnish Court.

In a statement issued on Monday, Attorney General Federation (AGF) and the Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, San, said Nigeria would act so officially and review the court’s decision.

“We receive good news about the punishment of the Biafra indigenous community leader, Simon Ekpa, by the Finnish court,” Fagbemi said.

AGF noted that the decision validated Nigeria’s concerns over EKPA’s activities, which had triggered violence and insecurity in the southeast.

“His belief in the charges of terrorism and other related violations submitted against the Finnish government is confirmation that EKPA has influenced and committed heinous crimes against the Nigerian people, especially in the southeast,” he said.

Fagbemi also expressed his appreciation to Finland for collaborating with Nigeria in an effort to fight insecurity.

“We praise the Finnish authority for supporting Nigeria in the war against insecurity and seeing this as a signal of collaboration in the future,” he added.

He assured that Nigeria would not hesitate to take legal and diplomatic steps next after the decision was fully studied.
“The right further action will be taken after receiving and understanding a copy of the court’s decision,” the statement concluded.
