The federal government has decided to sell 753 housing units found from the former Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, as a result of crime.
Director of the Press and Public Relations, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Salisu Haiba, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said the ministry had received a plantation delivery, consisting of 753 duplex units that were restored by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) from the former Governor of CBN.
He added that houses will be sold to the public and for special government needs.
The director said that the Chairperson of EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, handed over housing to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa.
According to him, Dangiwa praised EFCC’s leadership for sustainable efforts in the war against corruption and the recovery of public assets.
He said the ministry would tour the socialization with the facilities with the EFCC team to correctly assess the situation.
