The North-Central APC Forum warned Tinubu for dropping Shettima in 2027

The Congress Forum for all Progressive North Progressive (APC), has warned the President of Bola Tinubu not to overthrow Vice President Kashim Shettima, as his partner ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The warning issued in a statement in Abuja on Saturday by the Chair of the Forum, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, also urged Tinubu to dispose of the call to end the Muslim-Muslim ticket settings from the president, insisting that throwing tickets based on the call will only spell dooms for the party.

Zazzaga insisted that the Tinubu-Shettima ticket, who gave victory to APC in 2023, should not be damaged for political or religious reasons, emphasizing that the choice of ongoing couples was a strategic decision aimed at ensuring the success of the election, not aside aside any religious group.

Zazzaga said Muslim-Muslim tickets would not affect Tinubu’s chances of the Central Belt, which was part of the north-middle, showing that the leading Christians from the Central Belt, including the National APC Chair Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and the administrative secretary there are the administration there. Senator George Akume, already holding the top position in it and the secretary like there, Senator George Akume.

“Muslim-Muslim tickets will not affect the chances of the Tinubu Bola President in the middle belt, which is part of the north-middle, and this is because of the key position held by the Christians of the middle belt in the APC government,” the forum said.

“We advise the President not to change what succeeded in the last election. Maintaining the same team will further strengthen APC opportunities in 2027.

“We can guarantee that Tinubu will get 90 percent of the votes from the achievement of North Tinubu. Tinubu in the office will guarantee its election again and as a result, there is no need to take risks that do not need to change the winning team.

“Those who called for the Tinubu Ball President to change the Vice President of Kashim Shettima, based their agitation on Muslim-Muslim tickets, if you examine, you will see that in 2023, most of their community chose Peter Obi from the Labor Party.

“Now if Peter Obi will come out again in 2027, as expected, what is the guarantee that they will choose Tinubu even if he wants to drop Shettima and replace it with a Christian? Does that mean that these people will now leave Peter Obi and choose Tinubu?” Zazzaga asked.

He explained that the performance of Tinubu in the office would play a decisive role in determining his opportunities for the re -election, adding that the President must focus on the consolidation of his achievements rather than changing the political structure that brought him victory in 2023.
