The northeast governor to adopt multi-dimensions of insecurity

The northeast governor will adopt a multi-dimensional approach to overcome security challenges in the region.

The governor stated this in the nine points communication issued at the end of their meeting in Damaturu, the state of Yobr and read by Governor AGBU Kefas from the state of Taraba.

They also handle poor infrastructure, a weak education system and widespread poverty in the zone.

“The forum called for the armed forces, other security agents, and community leaders to re-implement their strategies in the ongoing counter-sake operations,” the communication said.

“This forum also attracted attention to the deteriorating federal road conditions in the region, which they said had made unsafe and inhibiting economic recovery.

“This forum promised to deepen collaboration in attracting investment in agriculture, renewable energy, climate adaptation, and vocational training to create jobs and reduce young people’s vulnerability to extremist ideologies.”

Also at the meeting was Governor of Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe).

The state of Bauchi was represented by the Deputy Governor.
