The president has issued a stern direction, denying all the billboards and promotional materials that are currently circulating nationally who are campaigning for the President of Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 election.
“We immediately ask individuals and groups to fund the 2027 political campaign through the spread of the ongoing material at the national billboard to be stopped immediately,” said Bayo Onanuga, a special advisor to the President about information and strategies, in a statement released on Sunday.
Entitled “The Presidential denied 2027 campaign billboards throughout the country,” the statement expressed the president’s disapproval of the increasing number of billboards.
The president has observed, with disappointment, increasing the number of billboards in several cities. It is worth noting that some of these billboards with photos of the President and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, which is displayed in the field of police and campaigns that guide political behavior and campaigns. clarified.

Presidential emphasizes that premature campaigns damage the integrity of the selection process and create unfair profits. “While President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima highly respect their full and loyal supporters throughout the country for their enthusiasm and sustainable support, the two leaders do not support any campaign that violates the law of land. As owned by leaders who obey the law, President Tinubu and Vice President Shettimima do not support any action that makes our installation confirm,”
He further warned that until the Independent National Election Commission (Inec) set a schedule for the 2027 election, “President Tinubu has not supported or authorized any or any group to install a 2027 campaign for him through any media channels both outside the home, print, digital, radio, or television.”
The statement urged all supporters to immediately stop their activities, emphasizing that “President Tinubu and his representatives are fully committed to providing a sustainable nation development task that they have set for themselves.” This commitment, Onanuga explained, was reflected in their focus on “economic revitalization, human resource development, infrastructure renewal, social investment, and national security.”
“When Inec indicates that the process for the 2027 election can be started, President Tinubu will tell Nigerians about his plans,” the statement concluded.
