The ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives for the supervision of the State of Rivers, Wednesday, invited the deputy admiral IBOK-ETE IBAS (RTD.), The only administrator of the State of Rivers, to appear in front of a complete interactive session.
This was after the inaugural meeting of the Committee, a platform for members to deliberate on preliminary relationships and developments emerging from the state of sparrows since Ibas has taken on the task.
President of the Committee and Leader of the Chamber, Hon. Julius Ihonvbere said: “This commitment is necessary to ascertain the true state of affairs in the state of the rivers and ensure that the Chamber remains adequately guided in the discharge of its supervision responsibilities in the public interest”.
A statement by the Camera spokesman, Akin Rotimi, on Wednesday, said that Ibas should appear before the commission on Thursday 17 April 2025 at the National Assembly.
βA formal invitation letter has been sent and recognized accordingly. This public announcement serves to strengthen transparency in the committee procedures.
“The Committee reiterates its commitment to fulfill his duties with diligence, transparency and rigorous adherence to the establishment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
