
In the logos, the police arrested six of his staff, including a police superintendent assistant (ASP), for the killing of a commercial motorcyclist in the city of Onosa, in the state’s Ibeju-Lekki area.
Sources confirmed the insurrection analyst of Securiy and Coubter Zagazola Makama on Saturday that the accident occurred in the early hours of August 29, 2025 when a team of policemen presumably collided with a group of riders of Okada.
According to the sources, the officers, led by ASP Dauda Ireimia of the Division Motor Traffic Department (MTD), were attacked by motorcyclists in large numbers.
“In their attempt to guarantee their safety, the ASP used its firearm, which led to three of the cyclists with a rebel injuries. They were racing to the Lustent private hospital, Ibeju-Lekki, where one of them, Muazu Abubakar, 22 years old, was confirmed dead,” said the sources.
The accident aroused a violent protest while young people and commercial cyclists blocked the Lekki highway, interrupting traffic along the occupied corridor.

The police commissioner, the lagos state command, personally led reinforcement teams that dispersed the demonstrators, canceled the barricades and restored the free traffic flow.
He later involved youth and community managers in dialogue to support peace and prevent further escalations.
In the meantime, the ASP that shot the fatal shot and five other members of his team were arrested and detained.
The police said that an in -depth investigation had started on the accident, adding that the appropriate disciplinary measures would be taken against the people found guilty.
