The Lagos State Police Command has rejected a report about the arrest of the suspect Boko Haram in the state.
A report appeared on Thursday that the security agent had arrested hundreds of Boko Haram members suspected in several parts of the country.
However, the order denied the claim in a statement issued on Friday at Lagos by his spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin.
Hundeyin said that after the report, the Commissioner of the State Police, Olohundare Jimoh, directed the investigation immediately into the report to ensure the authenticity of the claim.
He said: “The results of the investigation revealed that there was no place throughout the state of Lagos that the group mentioned in the report – Boko Haram – was visible or visible or captured.
“In addition, in the trailer community mentioned, leaders, operators, and drivers in the places shown in the report clarify to the police that there are no elements of the Boko Haram that are seen or captured in these areas.

“The order, even so, was deployed by the police detective, the Lagos State Police Intelligence Department (SID), and other formations from troops to places mentioned for the purpose of verification of claims.
“No one confirms the presence or arrest of group members as reported in writing throughout the state of Lagos.
“Therefore, overall reports are wrong, evil, and not useful to cause fear and fear in the minds of the public.
“Members of the community are encouraged by the Police Commissioner to carry out their duties and other ways of livelihood without fear or fear.”
