The police saved 3 people who were kidnapped by bandits in Kebbi

The police operation in Kewbbi has saved three people who were kidnapped by bandits in the Shanga regional government in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Nafi’u Abubakar, revealed this in a statement on Friday in Birnin Kebbi.

He said the victims were kidnapped by criminal gangs at around 2:00 a.m. on July 27.

The spokesman registered the victims as Muhammad Namata (25), Gide Namata (20), and Hamidu Alhaji Namani (35).

Abubakar said: “After receiving the report, Division Police officers, Shanga, mobilized a joint security team of security personnel consisting of police, soldiers, Nigerian security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), residents and hunters for the search and rescue mission.

“While the operation was ongoing, they followed the kidnappers to Shanga Hills and involved them in a fierce weapon duel.

“Because of the high fire strength of the joint security personnel, the kidnappers who were suspected of leaving their victims and went down to the forest into the forest with fatal wounds.

“The victims have been rescued on July 31 at around 3:30 pm, and are currently receiving treatment at medical facilities before being reunited with their families.”
