Police operations at Ondo State have saved Mr. Ayodeji Akinsero, a health worker at the Federal Medical Center, Owo.
Akinsero was kidnapped by armed people in his residence in the Regional Government of Owo in the state on Thursday.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Sports Ayanlade, revealed this in a statement on Saturday at Akure.
Ayanlade said the rescue operation followed the instructions of the State Police Commissioner, Adebowale Lawal.
He said: “After receiving the report on the incident, Police Commissioner, Ondo State Command, CP Adebowale Lawal, immediately gave a clear direction that the victim had to be saved at all costs.
“Acting based on this direction, the area of ββthe area in Owo, works in synergy with the division police, command operations, and the Vigilante Upeme group, launching coordinated operations.

“The joint team, worked tirelessly and in close collaboration, mobilizing credible intelligence and began an aggressive shrub, along Thursday and Friday night.
“Their ongoing effort paid off when the kidnappers, who were faced in a weapon duel, were forced to escape, leaving the victim.
“He was rescued without an injury without a paid ransom, and was immediately rushed to the federal medical center, Owo, for medical attention. He, because, had been happy to reunite with his family.”
