The police saved a pregnant woman from the suspect of the child smuggling

The police operation at Rivers State has succeeded in saving a pregnant woman who is a lot of suspects in the smuggling of children in their hiding place in the state of Abia.

Spokesperson for the State Police Command, Grace Ayongse-Koko, revealed this to journalists on Tuesday at Port Harcourt.

He said the suspects had been arrested by the police.

Ayirne-koko explained that the arrest followed a diligent investigation and intelligence gathering about the activities of the Child Trading Syndicate operating throughout the river and the state of Abia.

“On June 24, the police detective expanded their investigation to Aba, Abia State, where they arrested two suspects: Miss Sunshine Hart (28), and Mr. Kingsley Ekocha (38).

“During the attack on the suspect’s hiding place, officers rescued a 24 -year -old pregnant woman, Miss Regina Sunday, who was then placed in protective detention.

“Shortly after being held back in protection, on June 30, Regina safely gave birth to a baby boy at the police clinic at Port Harcourt.

“Both mothers and children are currently receiving medical treatment and in a stable condition,” the spokesman added.

He said the operators had launched hunting for other syndicate members.
