The Katsina State Police Command has warned parents to warn their children not to be involved in acts of violation of the law during the Eid celebration in the state.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Abubakar Aliyu, gave the warning in a statement on Saturday in Katsina.
He said: “Given the upcoming Sallah celebration, the Katsina State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Bello Shehu, has taken the necessary security steps.”
He said the order had mobilized adequate personnel, operational assets, and increased visibility patrols throughout the state.
This, according to him, is to ensure a safe environment before, during, and after the celebration.
“CP urges parents and guardians to warn their children and wards against actions that violate the law. The order will not tolerate violations of the law or disruption of public peace,” the spokesman added.
Aliyu also warned the troublemaker of all efforts to create riots during the celebration.
