The president of Lagos LG dies in a prolonged illness

The president of the development area of ​​the local council Oto Awori (Lcda) in the state of Lagos, Musbau Ashafa, died.

Ashafa died in prolonged illness on Friday 13 June 2025.

The president of the APC of Lagos, Cornelius Ojelabi, confirmed Ashafa’s death in a Saturday declaration.

Ojelabi said: “The news of your disappearance, dear Hon. Musbau Ashafa, left me with a heavy heart.

“As a party member and brother, your departure is a painful loss, not only for me, but throughout our party.

“As president of Oto-Awori Lcda, you played a fundamental role in modeling the basic policy, leaving an indelible mark in our community.

“Your dedication, passion and leadership has inspired countless people and your inheritance will continue to inspire future generations.”

Ashafa, who was serving his second mandate as Prime Minister before his death, was a former president of the EPC in Otto-Awori Lcda.

The deceased was president of the old local government of Ojo during the military regime of General Sani Abacha.
