The residents of Maru Lga Lodate Tinubu, Matawalle, CDS for the restoration of security

The residents of the local government area Maru in the state of Zamfara praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister of State for Defense Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle and the head of the defense staff Christopher Musa for what they describe as a “timely and life -saving intervention” in the long -term security crisis of the region.

For over a year, the communities of Maru Lga were under siege by armed bandits who killed dozens, kidnapped residents and rase properties, including the revered advice of the Emirates Maru.

Among the victims was the main imam of the area, whose death sent shock waves throughout the state and underlined the deterioration of safety.

Residents say that repeated appeals to the state authorities have produced results, until they intensified the question of Dr. Matawalle, a former governor of Zamfara.

According to the locals, the Minister of Defense acted quickly, coordinating with the federal authorities to distribute security agents to the LGA labor.

Since the intervention, many armed groups were neutralized and great weapons were seized during military operations.

The inhabitants of the village now speak of a new sense of safety, with night incursions and drastically reduced kidnappings in recent weeks.

“We can sleep again with our eyes closed,” said a resident of Al Jazeera.

The leaders of the community affirm that the role played by the general muse in the operational strategy was also fundamental for the success of the security mission.

President Tinubu have been credited for authorizing the Ministry of Defense to act decisively in remote and often neglected areas like Maru.
