The sentence of the court of the Congo former President of Kabila to death because of betrayal

Military Courts in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday sentenced the former president of the country, Joseph Kabila, to death due to betrayal.

However, the 54 -year -old player was absent from the court during the trial.

He was convicted of involvement with the anti-government armed group M23, who had seized East Congo which was rich in resources with the help of Rwanda’s troops.

Kabila, the son of the late President Dr. Kongo, Laurent Kabila, left the giant country of Central Africa in 2023.

He took over as president in 2001 after the murder of his father and ruled the country for 18 years.

Military prosecutor, General Lucien Rene Likulia, during the trial demanded a death sentence for former president.

He accused Kabila of planning to overthrow President Felix Tshisections.

The former president was also tried for murder, torture and rape related to M23.
