[Press Release] The attention of the state government of Ogun was attracted by a press declaration issued by the media office of the senator who represents Ogun East and a former governor of the State of Ogun, his excellence, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Saturday 9 August and entitled “Political persecution as governor inhabitants issues the demolition news, demolitions on the properties of Daniel a Ogun State”.
The Statement Written in Extremely Bad Taste and with intent to Cause Disaffection and Foment Chaos in the State Allegnes that Governor DapoAdun Posted Notices of Contraction, Quit and Threats of Demolition on the Asoludero Court Sagamu Private Residence of Gbenga Daniel, The Conference Hotels Limited, Sagamu and the Hotel Annex. of the former govern of Ogun State, with intent to illegally demolish those properties.
The declaration has framed these notices presumably received on Friday 8 August, as a clear demonstration of “mischievous and vindictive abuse of power, hiding behind a new size law to retroactively affect a political opponent”. Nothing can be further away from the truth.
Of course, in what has become a family model, Senator Daniel and his media office have attributed political reasons to a routine procedure, suggesting that they have something to hide and do not care about using subtle tactics to achieve their claims.
Contrary to the patlent distortions of facts and the excellent suppliers of the falsehood have been propagated by the declaration in question, the government of the state of Ogun is not engaged in any unpleasant move against Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
The fact of the question, simply, is that in his holistic approach to development efforts throughout the length and the width of the state of Ogun, his excellence, the governor Dapo Inhabitun, has undertaken not only the construction of new communities as exemplified by the housing properties at affordable prices and by the yellow roof revolution, but also in the re -evaluation of the State of Ogun in the city through the urban renewal. This, he started with Ibara Gra in Abeokuta, the capital of the state, and is extended to Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode Gras. This initiative provides for the auditing of existing developments within these areas in order to determine the state of permission of all types of developments, including houses, schools, hospitals and other commercial buildings. This is a statutory requirement and right for the process that will provide information for any government intervention. And this informed the exercise of development audit currently performed simultaneously both in ijebu-Ode and Sagamu Gras.
The Otunba Gbenga Daniel building seems to be inside the Sagamu Gra and among those that have been notified as required by the law on the planning and regulation of the Ogun State. In the same way many other structures have been served. The exercise is continuous until the government’s goal for the exercise is achieved. This process is not new. He was existing and also operated during his mandate as a government governor. The Gra is a property designed and assigned by the government and is subject to regulatory and supervision functions of the perpetual government. All Otunba Gbenga Daniel must do, like any other person in a similar situation that has been notified with these notices in that neighborhood, is to present the planning permit and the title of land to the office of government agencies relevant to verification in the time specified in notices rather than resorting to cheap blackmail. There are no exemptions pursuant to the law except for what is allowed by this law.
The distinct senator did not lead a check around the neighborhood before running quickly to the media to demonize the governor Dapo Inhabitun and his administration, as usual? The declaration in question skipped the gun saying that the government is focusing on Senator Daniel. This is a naked lie. It is the duty of the government to execute audit and for someone who has been in office as a governor and who is now a senator who cries wolf is very unfortunate. It seems that Senator Gbenga Daniel and his crew will do everything possible to drag the name of the governor Dapo Inhabitun in every question imaginable only to mark economic political points. This is not a distinctive sign of statistics, a topic of which the distinct senator likes to speak with Flourish; It is a dark tactic.
Nobody is larger than the state. Senator Gbenga Daniel is undoubtedly distinguished, but is not bigger than the state of Ogun. He should submit without reserve to the same laws that he once swore twice to support. He should refrain from raising any problem of his contact with government institutions to a personal revenge of the governor inhabitaun, who obviously keeps him in great consideration. Since its reference buildings must have conformed to government regulations, there should be no problem. The distinct senator knows the law and presumably mitigated himself from it, so because he is crying foul instead of simply respecting the lawful directive, extremely confident in the awareness of not having done anything wrong and knowing the rights have granted him from the Constitution and by the courts?
Nobody should assign impure reasons to a routine procedure. If someone is looking for Senator Gbenga Daniel, he is certainly not the governor of the state of Ogun.
