The Super Falcons midfielder, Christy Ucheibe, has established the glove before Nigeria’s opening game at the Wafcon against Tunisia on July 6.
Nigeria, 9 times champion, will also face Botswana and Algeria in group B, and the team has been in the camp for almost month.
Directed by the interim coach, Justin Madugu, the Super Falcons beat their Camerooning counterparts 2-0 in an international friendly.
The team will proceed to Portugal for the final camping phase before the tournament, and they are expected to play a final set of adjustment.
Looking ahead of the continental masterpiece, Christy Ucheibe described the feeling between the players and their expectations.
“We have a lot of confidence at this point and our recent game, I can say that we are clear and ready to return,” said the midfielder.
Ucheibe will make his second appearance in the tournament, a podium place was lost in 2022, and believes that this time Nigeria will work better.
