The train slipped on the Abuja -Kaduna route when the NRC activated an emergency response

Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed that one of the Abuja -Kaduna train services that slipped on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at around 11:09 in the morning at kilometer 49, between Kubwa Station and Asham, according to a statement issued by the company through its official X grip.

The emergency response team, including medical officers and rescue officials, was immediately deployed to the location, with the nearest hospital being placed alert. NRC added that security operators were also mobilized to ensure safe passenger evacuation back to Abuja.

“All passengers were transferred safely, and we urged the community to remain calm because the normal situation was restored,” the statement said.

Corporations, however, do not reveal the cause of detecting or provide details about the number of passengers on the ship during the press.
