Representative of non -governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSO) in the decade of the United Nations of prevention of actions and accidents on road safety, Prof. Yusuf John Suberu, praised the marshal of the body Shehu Mohammed, for its exceptional leadership as head of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FSC). He said under his guide, the Frsc got significant goals, including winning the prestigious Kofi Annan Road Safety prize for the best African road safety agency.
Highlighting the qualities of strategic leadership of the Marshal of the Mohammed body, he said he has actually implemented policies and strategies to improve road safety in Nigeria.
“He promoted the use of technology to improve road safety, including the development of digital systems and the renewal of the ICT Center,” he said.
He also praised the Marshal of the Mohammed body has encouraged partnerships with local and international organizations to advance the road safety initiatives.
However, he supported the actual development of personnel skills and an improvement in relations with the community.
“Providing programs in the training and development of the skills for FRSC staff.
“Enhanced Community Engageme by building stronger relationships with local communities to promote awareness of road safety,” he said.
According to him, the leadership of the Marshal of the body Shehu Mohammed was decisive in the success of the Frsc, earning national and international recognition. His vision for a safer road environment is commendable.
The Federal Government urges to increase the budget allocation and release funding to the FRSC to facilitate their life -saving efforts.
He also invited organizations such as Dangote, Julius Berger, Glo Network, Mtn and others to support the Frsc in their mission to make the Nigerian roads safer.
“Working together, we can reduce road accidents and create a safer environment for all Nigerians,” he said.
