The management of the University of Obafemi Awolowo, Ile-Ife, has appealed to the members of the public to help security agencies with information that could help identify a chemistry student at 300 missing levels, dorcas ooseghale.

According to Hlanrewaju, the student, residing in Adesanmi House in Ibadan Road, Ile-Fafe, left his hostel to buy food near the student village on Ede Road but never returned.

Since then his phone numbers have remained unattainable.

“Around 15:00 on August 7, 2025, a report from a disappeared student emerged on a social media platform of students.

The university security unit began to monitor the discussions on the matter, “he said.” By 18:10, a group of chemistry students, accompanied by his roommate, Akinkuade Omobolanle Beatrice of Agricultural Extension, formally reported the case to the University Safety Office “.

He added that the case had been transferred to the police due to the limited investigative resources of the University and the need for professional skills.

Deputy-Cancelliere, Professor Simeon Bamire, praised the students for their rapid action in denouncing the accident and urged the continuous vigilance.
