The wife of the former senator sentenced to more than four years of Bustarella

The police officers arrested a young man suspected of killing the influential conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah, in the United States.

The governor of Utah Spencer Cox revealed this to journalists on Friday 12 September 2025.

“We took it,” Cox said.

The suspicion, identified as Tyler Robinson, confessed a family friend – or “implied that he had committed the murder” from that friend – and that person in turn had contacted the office of the Sheriff of the County of Washington Thursday, Thursday Reuters reported.

A member of the family interviewed by the investigators said that Robinson has become more political recently and spoke in a denigrating way for Kirk, he told Cox journalists.

Robinson was taken in custody on Thursday evening, about 33 hours after Kirk’s murder, said the director of FBI Kash Patel at the press conference.

Kirk, a close ally of the President of the United States Donald Trump, was killed by a single bullet while speaking on stage in an outdoor amphitheater at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

Previously, the US investigators said they had found the bolt -action rifle that is believed to have been used to kill Kirk and released the images of a person of interest.

The investigators spoke to Robinson’s roommate, who showed them comments that Robinson had done on Discord, a popular chat and streaming platform with players, discussing to recover a rifle from a fall point and then leave the rifle in a bush wrapped in a towel.

This corresponded to the description of the gun that the authorities recovered after filming in a wooded area near the campus.

Cox also said that the ammunition found on the scene had been inscribed.

The messages on the envelope included: “What is this;” “Oh, beautiful hello, beautiful hello, beautiful hello, hello;” “If you read this, you are gay, lmao;” And “Hey fascist, capture!”

Kirk, a well -connected activist, author and conductor of Podcast, has contributed to building support for Trump and the Republican Party among the youngest voters.

Kirk was co-founder and president of the group of conservative USA Students Turning Point and appeared at Utah Valley on Wednesday as part of a expected “American return tour” of 15 events “of the US university campuses.

His murder aroused indignation and denunciation of political violence by democrats, republicans and foreign governments.
