A woman died after falling into a well 170 feet on a construction site in Ijegun, Lagos.

According to a punch report, due to the complexity of the situation, a multi-agency operation was launched.
“After days of coordinated efforts, the woman’s body was recovered on Thursday (10 July).
“The victim was recovered dead and delivered to Sehmu officials, while the Lagos state ambulance service remained while the Nigerian police observed the procedures,” says the note.
The director of the State Fire Brigade, Margaret Adeseye, expressed his condolences to the deceased’s family and underlined the importance of safety on construction sites, observing that “a 170 feet well discovered is a serious danger that must never be left unprotected”.
Further investigations will be managed by the Department of State Criminal Investigations, Panti, according to the declaration.
