A woman died after she fell into a 170 foot well at the construction site in the Ijegun area in Lagos.
The man from Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service restores the corpse after a prolonged operation by an emergency respondent at the scene.
Senior Agency Public Affairs Officer, Maria Fadairo, said in a statement on Friday that people from the Ejigbo fire station arrived to find that a woman had fallen into a deep well located in front of the one-story building still in the development in the area.
He said: “The agency received a tribal call at around 19:34 on Monday, June 30, reporting the incident at Abuba Anthony Street, near the Obalagbe bus stop, close to the Fadeko International Hotel.
“The reported structure consists of six flat two bedrooms on a 648 square meter plot that is fenced.

“Because of the complexity of the situation, multi-agency operations were launched. After days of coordinated efforts, the woman’s body was found on Thursday, July 10.
“The rescue and recovery effort is led by Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, working with Nigerian police, Lasambus, the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit, and other emergency respondents.
“The recovery operation is led by Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in collaboration with emergency response and other security institutions.
“The victim was found dead and handed over to the official Sehmu, while the state lagos ambulance service stands ahead when Nigerian police observe the process.”
