The Zulum government blamed the military for the boko haram attack on the Borno (Video) community

The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, blamed the Nigerian military for not securing the border community in the state.

He regretted the security hose that made residents repeat the attack by Boko Haram terrorists.

Zulum spoke on Sunday when he visited Kirawa, a community in the Gwoza regional government in that state ..

The community has suffered a series of attacks in recent times, forcing residents to flee to the adjacent Cameroon.

The governor urged the federal government and military authority to deploy the army to the main border community in the state, including Kirawa, Wulgo, Baga, Damasak, and Fatori night.

Zulum told people that he had told the military about the dangers of living in a city without security, but regretted that his request did not receive the desired attention.

He, however, said following a sustainable attack in the community, he held a meeting with the Commander of the Hadin Kai Operations Theater, General Commander (GOC) from the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army, and Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), and Hey agreed to surrender the troops to Kirawa in a short period of time.

“Kirawa was founded about seven years ago with the support of the Cameroon army, but unfortunately, a few months ago, the Cameroon army was moved by rebels,” he said.

“I have told the Nigerian military about the dangers of leaving border cities without security.

“Wulgo, Kirwa, Baga, Damasak, and Fatori night, among others, are border communities that must be protected because of their importance. But unfortunately, my request for their protection does not receive the desired attention.

“A few days ago, the terrorists came to Kirawa and damaged everything. Fortunately enough, only two lives were lost. But some houses and vehicles, including heavy task equipment, were burned, but thankfully not many lives were lost.

“We have all agreed that in the shortest possible time, the Nigerian army will mobilize the army to the city of Kirawa.

“The second step we have taken is in the field of supporting JTF and our own vigilantism of our dashing civilians. I listen to them, and we will give them the equipment needed to protect the city.

“Most importantly, we are looking for the possibility of getting some modern technology equipment that will overcome the challenges of insecurity in the general field,” the governor convinced.
