The president of Galatasaray, Dursun Ozbek, has approached the growing speculation around a possible permanent movement for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
After its failed deadline, Napoli permanent transfer, Osimhen made a surprise change to Galatasaray for the rest of the 2024–25 season.
Despite playing in a new environment, Osimhen has quickly become a fans and a key figure in office for the title of Galatasaray.
Until now, the striker has scored 33 goals and provided 8 assists in all competitions, establishing a new personal record for total goals contributions in a single season.
And has caused conversations of a permanent transfer of Napoli for the striker with a qualification of 75 million euros.
Speaking at an event, the president of the club, Ozbek, was asked directly about Osimhen’s future.
“Eighty -five million people in Türkiye come to me with the same question,” he joked. “We are in a race at this time; the football season is not over. Transfers begin in June.”
Ozbek emphasized that the club’s approach is firmly in the field, not in the transfer treatment.
“No one should think who we will buy or sell at this time. We have five important games left. Our priority is to win them all and make our fans happy.”
Galatasaray currently headed the Turkish super light with 83 points, maintaining an eight -point advantage over Fenerbahce, and is ready to compete in the Turkish Cup final.
