‘There is no single party that can defeat Tinubu in 2027,’ the former NCP presidential candidate told Atiku, the others

A former presidential candidate from the dead National National Party (NCP), Head of Martin Onovo, warned the opposition elements on Monday that it would be difficult for every single party to defeat the President of the Tinubu soccer in 2027.

Onovo, who spoke with journalists in Lagos, recommended a strong alliance from the opposition parties to all the progressive congress (APC) in 2027.

He described the coalition championed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, Labor Party candidates in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, and leaders who thought the same to challenge Tinubu in 2027 as a step towards the right direction.

He said: “I am the brain behind the biggest coalition ever in the fourth Republic, which gave birth to the United Political Party Coalition (CUPP), and I can tell you that the coalition is a way, because the united minority is stronger than the majority divided.

“The coalition will win the 2027 election with 99 percent of the votes if it is not self -signed.

“Take it to the bank, it will not fail, it will succeed and defeat the ruling party convincingly, if they do it well.

“If the coalition is not on itself, it will be difficult for APC to return in 2027.”

In the current mid -year administrative year assessment, the Head of Policy Position, Movement for Fundamental Changes (MFC) said that not much had been achieved in the field of security and the provision of basic needs to the masses.

He urged Tinubu to use the remaining years of his first term of office to overcome security challenges and improve living standards in this country.

Onovo also advised the president to strengthen his cabinet with technocrats and competent people to fulfill their campaign promises to the Nigerians effectively

“The president must be clear about his goal, he must go out to improve the welfare and security of ordinary Nigerians in remote cities and areas.

“We need people who are competent in positions, not loyalists. Let’s get the right people, the right strategy, and the ethical environment, while the President gives leadership and takes responsibility.

“We need the right commander with strategy in security and economy to end insecurity and suffering. We must not sacrifice performance for loyalty,” he said.
